Three new publications that present the most recent work done on the Heath and by the regional barrows survey team are now available online (see ‘Project documentation’ on the side bar of this page): bulletin number 8 is an update on the project, reporting on recent events and findings; the ‘Petersfield Heath grave groups preliminary report’ provides a rich and detailed analysis of the items found in the first two years of excavations; and the illustrated ‘Cranmer Pond barrow cemetery report’ reveals the findings of a survey of this cemetery in the Whitehill area, which is part of an additional study to put the Heath barrows cemetery in its regional context.
