Today’s Daily Dig Diary sees our work on these pre-historic sites brought right up-to-date, as we view Ken’s fantastic Barrow 4 using drone technology.

Barrow 4 is made up of a mound encircled by a bank, which were both originally built up with turf. The photos taken by the drone clearly show the difference between the natural white sand and the compacted, darker turf.

To the left of the plank you can clearly see the turves of which the mound was made.

We are now waiting to see what treasures are held within this bank, as well as the centre of the Barrow itself. Stay tuned for more!
